10 Things That Makes Me Happy

My Sweet Hubby- so patient and willing to let me bake and let my creative juices flow.
My Mama - Always willing to listen and help brighten any situation
Church- I love going to church, I love being inspired every Sunday it really lifts me each week. (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for anyone that wants to attend www.lds.org)
Warm Feet- This is rare because my feet are ALWAYS cold so when they are warm it makes me happy :)
Shopping- Even if I don't have money it's still fun to look around
Traveling- I LOVE to travel!! Anywhere and everywhere I hope to travel my whole life
Blogging- I used to be even more obsessed but I still love reading other blogs and getting creative cake ideas from other inspired bakers :)
Etsy- I love this website and seeing all the fun home-made things people can make. It's astonishing how creative minds are.
Flowers- I love flowers... they make everything bright and cheerful!
and last but not least... Family & Friends- They make all the difference in my world :)

BBQ & Cupcakes!

So we have been invited to a BBQ and I was asked to bring a dessert.. So of course I had to bring Cupcakes! I don't know why but I am in LOVE with these tiny adorable yummy treats. I decided to make a carrot cupcake with carrot slices, raisins, and crushed pineapple. I also forgot to put the nuts in the mix so I just added them to the frosting on top. Then I also made a dark chocolate cupcake with chocolate chips. I topped it off with coco dust and one heart sprinkle :) Enjoy!

Re-Location to DC

So we've relocated to the DC are for my hubby's medical school... I guess all my cake business may have to go on hold since I haven't quite figured out how to spread the word that I would LOVE to make cakes.. Even for a discount! Well we will see what the future brings.. Maybe I'll have to go back to my big kid job in healthcare administration :)

Raspberry Lemmon Wedding Cake

 Joe + Emily

Inspired by another fresh fruit themed cake Joe & Emily requested raspberries, lemmons and oranges on a three layer cake. Inside was Lemmon cake with raspberry filling YUMMY! I think it turned out very fun and fresh looking. This was the largest cake I have done yet and I was very pleased with the turn out. I hope you had a WONDERFUL wedding day Joe & Emily. Congratulations!! It was an honor to make your wedding cake.

Mini Bride Cake

It was Holly's Bridal Shower at work so of course they requested that I make a cake!! So inspired by her actual dress and red + white wedding colors I came up with the fun cake you see here. The inside cake was a red velvet. So cute!! It makes me want to get married all over again :)
